Essential Oils
Essential oil or sometimes called plant essence from the Latin essentia, which means "nature of a thing", is a concentrated liquid of volatile components of a plant part, obtained by steam distillation, and which has several virtues medicinal.
The use of these fragrant substances dates back to antiquity, where it was discovered that the Egyptians embalmed mummies with oily extracts, essences, and perfumes of plants.
The use of essential oils as we know it today dates back over 2000 years with Ayurvedic medicine.
